Another Copernican Revolution occurred when Kant overturned the order of scientific knowledge as Newton had overturned the place of the sun and earth. The mind became the center of the universe, usurping the sun and the natural order. The Kantian Revolution forever changed science and how humans viewed themselves. It was the active, courageous, and fearless mind that would change the world, not the empiricists who viewed the mind as a docile “blank slate” passively being imprinted by the natural and objective world.
