In his critically acclaimed book, Zealot, Reza Aslan provides an extraordinary picture of Jesus as both an historic and religious figure. Jesus was also interested in disposing a corrupt Jewish hierarchy that was obsessed with maintaining “Jewish Law” and their political power.
Most organized Christian religions have tried to whitewash the revolutionary zeal of Jesus, and his zeal for a new religious and political order, a psychology based on love; Love They Neighbor as Thyself, which, considering the disparate inequities of the time of Jesus, was certainly revolutionary.
Apostle Paul viewed Jesus as a Messiah, which, in Greek, means Christ, a savior beyond the emancipator of the Jews. Paul believed that Jesus transcended history. Through his physical death and resurrection, Jesus overcame original sin becoming only spirit, the Son of God.
